The Kiva New York Lending Team is a team of New York City area lenders on Kiva, an organization that connects people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty. Each of our loans, when added up, can make a huge difference. As of 2011, Kiva has facilitated loans totaling more than $260 million – all through peer-to-peer loans. The beauty of Kiva is that once the loans are repaid, each lender has the choice to reinvest that money or remove their funds from Kiva. Learn more about Kiva by watching The Pedro Story!

We are an independent volunteer organization dedicated to spreading the word about Kiva in the New York City area, getting lenders and non-lenders together to meet each other offline, and raising funds for our team’s nonwithdrawable lending fund.
